It began with a vacation and an honest complaint.
That was my wife. On vacation - again - pointing out what I already knew but kept failing to fix. She was right. We'd return from incredible trips with almost nothing to show for it. A few blurry photos and a fading sense that we'd been somewhere beautiful.
I'm not careless. I'm just not the kind of person who stops to document the moment while it's happening. I'd rather be present. But that means later - weeks, months, years later - the details start to fade.
What if the documenting happened without you having to do anything? What if the places just... remembered themselves?
No pulling out your phone. No interrupting dinner. Just living your life - and knowing that later, every place, every trip, every route would be there waiting for you.
That's how Traccia was born. Not in a boardroom. On a vacation, from an honest complaint by the person who knows me best. And once I started building it, I realized this wasn't just my problem. It was a problem for my friends who forget where they ate last weekend, for my brother who wants a record of the neighborhoods his kids grew up in.
A Good Husband isn't named after a person.
It's named after an aspiration. The kind of partner who listens when someone they love says something matters - and then quietly goes and builds something to make it better.
David is a first-time founder based in Abu Dhabi, building Traccia as a solo developer. Before starting A Good Husband, he spent over a decade in operations and strategy. He builds for the people he loves - starting with his wife.
